The 2x2 Machine is a free cloud-based data analytics web application.

The 2x2 table, also known as a contingency table, allows for the statistical analysis of quantitative data. With the 2x2 table, the data is condensed into dichotomous or bivariate categorical variables, such as: Event vs No Event, Disease vs No Disease, Exposed vs Unexposed, Drug vs Placebo, Case vs Control... etc. The data is distributed in a four section square, similar to the Punnett square used in genetics, and from there can be further analyzed with advanced statistical / biostatistical methods.

The 2x2 Table is used extensively in medical and scientific research to analyze the compiled results of research study data. It is used to analyze the results of randomized clinical trials (RCT), such as those conducted in pharmaceutical drug development. 2x2 tables are also used in infectious disease outbreak investigations, as well as the evaluation of laboratory diagnostic tests, and the evaluation of public health interventions.

Beyond the realm of biomedical and public health applications, 2x2 tables are used in marketing and psychology research.
